Hi colleagues,
"viscosimeter" is a same meaning as "viscometer" but a derivative from german
word "viskosimeter".
In fact most researchers use viscometer when they wish express the tenacity
of fluid flow , I mean the shear stress and shear rate relation factor in english.
It is correct that you use "viscometer" instead that of "viscosimeter"
You have to consult the translations of "viscometer" in german and italian.
It is viskosimeter(german) and viscosimetro(italian).

Viskosimeter [German]
Viscosimetro [Italian]
In my opinion some german or italian originated persons prefer to use the "viscosimeter"
instead the formal english word of viscometer. In fact there is no theoretical difference
between the words, but I believe viscometer is correct expression in english.
I suggest if you present a paper or are giving lectures in Germany or Italy you can use
"viscosimeter" but if you wish speak a correct english it would be best use "viscometer".
