PZT is an abbreviation of PbZrTiO3( Lead Zirconate Titanium)

This is a piezoelectric ceramics, which becomes electrically polarized proportional to the amount of the mechanical strain applied. Also this kind of materials deforms when it is exposed to an electrical field.
