Chinese government last year decided to charge the heating cost for individual housing and appartment by heat quantity consumption., not by the the surface area, squar meters, basis which has been being so far. Russia and Eastern europe are in similar circumstance.

The heat meter market during forth coming years in China, as well as Russia & Eastern Europe, will be expanding very quickly.

The northern Chinese housing area where people living in the appartments is analyzed as about 1 billion sq. meters. And the heat meter's life cycle is about 10 years.

Chinese housing construction market is increasing tremendously. Therefore the market is quite promising and competitive for coming decade. Also in Korea, the annual replacement is more or less half million heat meters, however most manufacturs in Korea can produce only the mechanical heat meters. Whereas
the unique Korean company, MaxMet Inc has its fundamental technology to design the ultrasonic heat meters new and unique in the world.

There are several Chinese heat meter companies in northern China. Also they are starting ultrasonic heat meter manufacture recently. However most Chinese heat meter products are the conventional mechanical type(impellar) heat meter.

A Korean company launched a heat meter factory in China in the year of 2002. However this company also only manufactures the mechanical heat meters, which are not fit to northern Chinese housing situation due to the hard water nature, which can cause the mechanical performance failure.

MaxMet ultrasonic heat meters can maintain the operation up to 15 years,or ore if the custoemrs wish to design, without any kind of possible instrument failure. Also the nominal uncertainty is far less than the criteria specified in EN 1434 (OIML Recommendation 75-1988).

MaxMet will operate a joint venture near Beijing and will produce the Korean-Chinese ultrasonic heat meters. The annual production will be up to one million ultrasonic ehat meters for the first year. Also MaxMet ultrasonic heat meters will be supplied to Korea, Russia, Monglia and Euoropean countries.

World-wide researchers, scholars and governmental testing bodies recommends the ultrasonic heat meters rather than mechanical heat meters. MaxMet Inc judge that the trend of future heat meter design must be compact, reliable and excluding the mechanical parts, i.e., ultrasonic heat meters.

Domestic ultrasonic heat meters are sold internationally with the price in between E150-250, depends on the transaction quantity, whereas the conventional mechanical heatmeters price lie in between E50 - 100 . The price gap between the ultrasonic and mechanical ones will become close as much as the manufacturers attract the customers by its far improved performace and robust design.

MaxMet ultrasonic heat meters will be far cheaper than its competitors and will use the policy "made in China by Asian Technology" . MaxMet Inc plans its aggressive marketing starting from China and Russia and expects to occupy 20% of world market by the end of 2008, Beijing Olympic year.

MaxMet markets the industrial heat exchange stations as well as the domestic heat meter market. MaxMet also plans its products with OEM to any partners in the world.

There are more than 70 companies that manufacture the heat meters. However regards to the ultrasonic heat meter manufacturers, Hydrometer, landisgyr, krohne, Kamstrup-Metro, Danfoss, Landisgyr and Siemens AG are the leaders, including two Chinese companies and one Korean company, MaxMet Inc.

MaxMet Inc will launch its production and marketing inside China this semester. Now the heat meter world has a new strong competitor from Korea.
